A celebration of Drury on C-Street
Drury University celebrated the Grand Opening of Drury on C-Street with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 10 at Drury’s C-Street location at 233 Commercial St. On Thursday night, Drury students, faculty, staff, alumni and trustees celebrated the opening.

A Grand Opening celebration for Drury on C-Street
On Thursday, May 10 at 11 a.m., Drury and the Springfield Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for Drury on C-Street. That evening, Drury students, faculty, staff, donors and community members will celebrate the Grand Opening of Drury on C-Street from 6:30-9 p.m. Drury on C-Street is located at 233 E. Drury’s television studio will get a makeover thanks to an alumna’s donation
When video students walk into the Drury television studio in the fall of 2012, they’ll be greeted with a fully functioning, high definition facility capable of giving students a real-time television experience. The re-tooling of the studio in the Shewmaker Communication Center is made possible by a $150,000 donation from 1973 Drury graduate and former news anchor Carole Lambert. Continue reading

Drury students’ posters are designed to decrease underage drinking
Drury University students took first and second place in the Community Partnership of the Ozarks Underage Drinking Task Force (UDTF) Higher Education Committee Annual Poster Contest. Drury sophomore design arts major Carlie Townsend’s poster was selected as the top overall entry. Nathan Harrison, a Drury fifth year senior majoring in architecture, was second. Both of the winning posters were designed in Dudley Murphy’s visual communications course. Continue reading
