Drury men walk the lane in women’s shoes to raise awareness of sexual violence
Drury men will put on high heels, wedges and pink flip-flops on Tuesday, Sept. 4 for the fourth annual Walk the Lane in Her Shoes event. The event begins at 8:15 p.m. in the Findlay Student Center circle at the north end of Drury Lane.

The final Matriculation Convocation for Drury President Todd Parnell is Thursday
On Thursday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m., Drury’s new students will experience a rite of their early college lives at the Matriculation Convocation in Clara Thompson Hall. It will be the final Matriculation Convocation for Drury President Todd Parnell who will retire in May of 2013. Drury’s Theme Year kicks off on Sunday, August 19
How has technology affected the way humans interact and what will that mean for the future of Democracy? That’s one of the questions speakers will tackle in Drury’s 2012-2013 Theme Year. Theme Year Director Dr. Jonathan Groves will begin the discussion on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. in Clara Thompson Hall when he presents Voices Unbound: New Media and the Future of Democracy.

President Parnell asks the Drury family to conserve water
Recently, City Utilities informed its key accounts that, barring major rainfall, it would impose water restrictions this fall. Here at Drury, our goal is to reduce our water consumption by 25 percent compared to the same time last year. Facilities has turned off the fountains in the FSC Circle and they’ve stopped watering the grass, except recently seeded areas and that is being watered on an as-needed basis. Continue reading
