Celebrate Valentine’s Day early with Drury on C-Street’s Sweetheart Art Gallery

Drury to offer minor in Animal Studies
Students interested in examining the ways in which humans and animals interact will have the opportunity to earn a minor in Animal Studies from Drury University. The minor was approved by Drury’s faculty in the fall of 2011. The six required courses for the minor will all be available in the 2012-2013 Drury Catalog, but several students have already expressed a desire to pursue the minor. Continue reading

A lifetime of local architectural design will be featured in Drury’s art gallery
Drury University, in partnership with the Springfield Foundation for Architecture, will present an exhibition featuring the work of local architect Richard P. Stahl (1914-2003). The exhibition, titled Springfield Mid-Century Modern: The Architecture of Richard P. Stahl, will run from Feb. 3-27 in the Pool Art Center at Drury University. Continue reading

Drury professor and students study coping strategies following Joplin tornado
The May 22 tornado that hit Joplin, Mo. killed 161 people, but it impacted thousands more physically and mentally. How the surviving victims dealt with the physical, mental and emotional stress in the aftermath of the tornado is the goal of the research conducted by Drury psychology professor Jennifer Silva Brown called the Joplin Impact Project.
