Drury ranks among the best colleges in Missouri and America

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., August 14, 2017 — Drury University has been named one of the top schools in Missouri and the nation on a new list that aggregates scores from the most well-respected college rankings in America.

Drury was listed as the No. 3 school in Missouri by College Consensus, which aggregates data from two types of sources: the combined average score from a respected list of college rankings by outlets such as U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly; and the combined average score of a school’s real student review scores from reputable sites around the web.

Overall, College Consensus identified about 1,000 of the more than 2,300 four-year schools in the United States as the best of the best – Drury landed at No. 83 overall.

In its description of Drury, College Consensus noted that the university has recently been named among the best colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report, one of the Top 100 Best Value Private Universities by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and one of the top “green” colleges by The Princeton Review. Drury’s personalized approach to education, small class sizes, and student life opportunities were also cited.

“There’s a proliferation of college rankings and ‘best of’ lists out there these days,” says Wendy Flanagan, Drury’s vice president of marketing and communications. “Students and families need to look carefully at the data and methodology underlying any such list. College Consensus is the first that we’re aware of that aggregates some of the most recognized data sources out there. It’s gratifying to see Drury ranked so highly in this way, and it’s a testament to the true value of a Drury education.”
