Drury is back in the top 10 of the U.S. News and World Report rankings

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Sept. 12, 2011 — Drury University is ranked in the top 10 of the best Regional Universities in the United States in the 2012 edition of the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges 2012. The rankings can be viewed at www.usnews.com/colleges.

Drury is 10th on the list of Best Regional Universities in the Midwest. Regional universities are defined by U.S. News as institutions that provide a full range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, but few, if any, doctoral programs. In the 2010 and 2011 editions of the college guide, Drury was ranked 11th in the Midwest.

“This ranking is a validation of the hard work Drury’s faculty and staff have engaged in to provide a rigorous education for our students that prepares them to think critically in an increasingly global society, and prepares graduates for personal and professional success in that world,” said Dr. Charles Taylor, vice president of academic affairs. “It is gratifying to know that Drury is one of only two universities from Missouri ranked in the top 10.”

The 2012 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook is available at USNews.com and will be on newsstands September 20.
